In the Czech Republic, the World of Comenius project taught a biology lesson that featured Leap Motion controllers with Oculus Rift DK2 headsets.
In other areas of education — primarily hard sciences like biology, anatomy, geology, and astronomy VR tools are used to construct architectural models and spatial renderings to enrich education with the ability to interact with dimensional objects
A startup called MultiModal Health sprung up in December last year out of the University of Washington and have begun pilot projects in clinics around Seattle, one of them being occupational therapy featuring Leap Motion tech. In the program patients use Leap Motion sensors on Myo armbands, which monitors muscle activity, to track a patient's progress with the data analyzed.
